How precious

You forget how precious life is until you lose someone you love... That sense of relief is there when you know they are no longer hurting but you also realize from this day forward there will always be that void, that empty space in your life. No more of their smiles, no longer that familiar laughter that you've grown so attached to, the sound of their voice is only a lingering memory that you wished you could have saved somehow. Memories flash before your eyes as your days goes by, and you hope you let them know for certain just how much they meant to you before it was their time to go....
Our dear friend Sandy passed away this weekend from Leukemia, it's been so difficult to see her lose the battle... They say the soul chooses it's exit, time and the circumstances. We're just going to miss her so much.

~ At last your spirit is free to soar with the angels, thank you for your friendship & love, we will all be together again one day and until then your presence will be felt here in all of our "Majestic Moments" on this journey of life.
Thank you for all you've done for us. We Love you Sandy

Paint n' Release....

This is one of those little paintings I did that just flew out.... I later regretted selling it, the money wasn't worth the absence of it for me. Silly I
know but it was at that point I understood how Georgia O. felt everytime she sold her creations.
It does feel almost like something you've given birth to, I suppose then you should
just enjoy the accomplishment and then release it out into the world like you must with your own
children :-)

This is a pastel I painted a bit ago, the poppies that grew above the fence were the initial thing that caught my eye when I took the reference photo. Posted by Hello

I've been doing a few sketches of different things to paint but waiting for them to evolve..... Hoping for inspiration from anywhere !!! I'll post my bamboo w/ moon
as soon as I can photograph it better, attempted today and it was pathetic.

We've had some interesting cloud formations pass through recently.... the pic's
I posted earlier were from the other evening. The skies can change so quickly, I was running from the back deck to the front yard trying to capture the sun's effects
before it sank below the distant mountains. I LOVE taking pictures of the sky as you will see time & time again on here, it is it's own canvas indeed, ever changing
and always original.

Peace to you,
Cindy

This a sample of the mined composite on the Mt. Shasta, I purchased it from a local crystal shop last summer when we were visiting the area. It is a blue opal. Posted by Hello

Jan 22, 2005

Took a drive out to Shasta Dam today, it was so amazing how exspansive the dam looks.
Mt. Shasta was very majestic in the background, L & T are up there skiing there this weekend, should be excellent snow for them and the kids.

We brought home a Venus Flytrap plant the other day, I went searching for it's first feast outside but couldn't find a flippin' bug....... So I shot a couple pic's of a group of snow birds.

Lovely Day

It turned out to be a beautiful day in Northern Cal, the sun
shared it's bright face with us and I got a well needed adjustment on my
neck & attitude. :-) It's funny what Chiropractic's, a little sunshine & a glass of chardonnay can do.

Tsunami relief

The concert for Hope played tonight to raise money for the tsunami victims, bringing even more compassion to the suffering areas. Everyone can do their part, I wish I could contribute through
my artwork, just haven't found the right avenue to do it yet. I'm feeling really sad for everyone over there.... My heart hurts for them.
